Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany
For songwriters who dont sing or perform it is extremely hard to make ones mark in the music business because they dont have a platform to present and promote their work. This is more or less the situation that I, Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany, have been confronted with since I started writing songs in 1978. My idea is to complement my songwriting capabilities with the "helping hands" of excellent artists, musicians and innovative producers. In the age of the internet it has become easier to communicate and collaborate with musicians and producers all over the world. I am utilizing the internet and pursuing the idea of a conceptual studio band with a frequently changing lineup of artists. I call this project the "Rob B. Project" since I supply the melodies and/or lyrics of a song and other musicians/producers/songwriters contribute their talents and skills to make it come to life.

Lyrics
The Deadly Sickness Blues [Verse] Doctor said, "Boy, your clock's tickin' fast". I said, "Pour me a double, let's make this one last"! I ain't gone yet, got some livin' to do So I'm singin' real loud these deadly sickness blues! [Chorus] I got the deadly sickness blues - hey, don't cry for me I'll be laughin' and drinkin', raisin' hell till I'm free When I check out, I'll go out tappin' my shoes Grinnin' ear to ear with these deadly sickness blues! Ooh-ooh-ooh, got the deadly sickness blues [Verse] Don't want no sad songs, don't wear no black Just crank up the jukebox and line up the Jack If heaven won't take me, I'll raise hell with the crew Still stompin' the floor with these deadly sickness blues! [Chorus] I got the deadly sickness blues - hey, don't cry for me I'll be laughin' and drinkin', raisin hell till I'm free When I check out, I'll go out tappin' my shoes Grinnin' ear to ear with these deadly sickness blues! Ooh-ooh-ooh, got the deadly sickness blues [Bridge] So turn up that guitar, let the drummer get loud If the Reapers come knockin', he can wait in the crowd I ain't slowing down, got too much to choose Gonna dance through the night with these deadly sickness blues! [Chorus] I got the deadly sickness blues - hey, don't cry for me I'll be laughin' and drinkin', raisin hell till I'm free When I check out, I'll go out tappin' my shoes Grinnin' ear to ear with these deadly sickness blues! Ooh-ooh-ooh, got the deadly sickness blues [Outro] Ooh-ooh-ooh, got the deadly sickness blues
